  Wow, the sale  prices for 8% or 13% among other odd percentages as sale prices.  I'm used to seeing most  vendors  advertising  the  rounded 10 % , 20 % , 30 % off.

 If QVC sells in big lots  such as thousands of  each item as they  declare , then why such  minimal  sale %  to customers. Their  price comparisons are one thing .

@skatting44

Only the number crunchers within a corporation know which percentage discounts make sense for their bottom line.

I agree, off beat percentage discounts look odd but maybe that's what works for them.

You have no idea what QVC's internal pricing structure is or how/why/when and how much they discount items.  Perhaps no one told you but QVC is not a charitable organization.  They aren't in business to give customers breaks on merchandise even discounted merchandise.  They like all retailers discount merchandise to push it out the door but I think they still need profit from discounted merchandise.

And that's always been because they have overhead other retailers don't have, like tv studios and hosts.

Yup!   They've never taken much off prices even end of season clearance.

  Okay, you have the right to your opinion .

Your response  directed  sarcasm and criticism towards me .  I do understand the concept of retail .

 Maybe QVC ought to look at it's exuberant overhead costs   and cut those costs down  so they  can try to provide sales prices of 10-30%  off  as  other online retailers offer .

I'm not sure if that was directed at me, but QVC is not trying to be like other online retailers.  They are a tv and online retailer.  If they're going to cut down their costs in order to offer larger discounts, there would be no need for QVC because they would need to eliminate the tv part.  There are many other retailers to fill that need.

 As a matter of fact, there are apparently many customers who accept QVC for what it is and either buy an item at a certain price or don't.  The last year of providing discounts is just a pleasant surprise to me.
