My daughter and her friends went to a huge tulip field/farm and bought bouquets...cut to order.  They were beautiful and there were many varieties.

I no longer plant tulips because the bulbs are not long lasting.  Daffodil bulbs last forever and never need replacing.

My favorite flowers are Peonies and Lilly of the Valley. I like violets too.

Calla Lilies is another of my favorites. I couldn't think of the name when I posted.

Have you seen the fields of Tulips in Holland?

Google Tulip Fields & click on Images. Lots of pretty tulip pictures.

I love tulips. I also love the smell of Hyacinths. You know that's what it is when you walk past it & smell the aroma.

I think Freesia is my favorite.

When I visited Holland many years ago in the month of April, I remember so well the fields and fields of tulips.  Sadly, they were growing them for the bulbs and not the flowers.  A beautiful memory!

Carnations and Jasmine.

Some carnations smell heavenly.  Others don't smell at all.  (Buying them from our local supermarket).

Anyway, I love the scented variety of carnations, and I love to smell the scent of jasmine as I walk by one of our neighbors house around the corner.

I love lilacs too.  I have 2 lilac trees that are 30 years old.  My son got them for me for Mother's Day the year we moved down here.  Some years there are a ton of flowers or years not so much.  i think this year they will be sparse.

Where I live we have a tulip festival every year in the capital city commemorating traditional Dutch street scrubbing, and the Tulip Queen coronation. 140,000 tulips in 150 varieties.

There is a city in Michigan with the name 'Holland', Michigan where tulips are grown and shown.
