There is a farm in the next county from us and i was told they plant 500,000 tulips every year.  I went to their facebook page,  holy cow, rows and rows of every color of tulip.  I love tulips.

It's open to the public (there is a fee I think).  Of course you can buy bunches of tulips.  I think they also have a store.  There were pictures of baby animals they have.

Later in the summer it is sunflowers.

I would love to go but fields and this blasted walker might not be a good combo.

What is your favorite flower

Have you seen the fields of Tulips in Holland?

Google Tulip Fields & click on Images. Lots of pretty tulip pictures.

I love tulips. I also love the smell of Hyacinths. You know that's what it is when you walk past it & smell the aroma.

I think Freesia is my favorite.

@CrazyKittyLvr2   I love tulips...., oh I just love to view when planted enmasse.    That said, where I live in California the Squirrels eat them like Belgium Truffles..  one year I planted over 60 bulbs. The ones they didn't get the first night out, they got later.  We put chicken wire over ground to no avail. We tried potting them. No luck. I do buy them in pots at nursery or Trader Joe's in season, but not the same. There is something about tulips planted hundred and hundreds together.  That takes my breath away   I love the purple, and bright pinks with oranges.  Oh my

Maybe take a drive over? I imagine the fields would be visible from the road.

The tulip fields in LaConner WA are beautiful.

Where I live we have a tulip festival every year in the capital city commemorating traditional Dutch street scrubbing, and the Tulip Queen coronation. 140,000 tulips in 150 varieties.
