We’re going to a family BBQ and will bring a few side dishes. I think there’s going to be about 15 of us. Good people so it should be fun.....I have no interest in fireworks, so won’t be going to see them.

I have never known anyone who could ice skate, so you are now my designated ice skating friend. LOL. Down here it is way too hot. I have heard of "hockey" moms, but we only have "soccer" moms.

Hello friend! It's hot here I my city also, and with all the rain lately, very humid. That is why in 1973 I worked hard getting a Bond Issue passed by our City Council. This was Monday to build a year around City Ice Rink. We had 2 rinks, but they closed at the end of March.

Did all that work only to find out I could not vote for it. Went to vote and was told since I live outside the City limits, we had no votes for City issues. Here I was paying the taxes of vehicles, and nobody told me I lived outside the City! Strange, eh(not really)!

Will be going today in a few hours. Haven't skated for I0 days due to some internal physical issues. Took several days and tests for my doctors to figure out the cause.

Been skating since I was 8 years old, with a 14 year interruption, due to a couple heart attacks, and several other life threatening issues. But, back at it again, and have had several broken bones along the way back.

NO plans for anything for the 4th, we may go up about 1 mile from our house to watch the fireworks, i think the last word i heard, the fireworks were going to happen this year

We will be getting some things ready over the weekend for 2 upcoming camping trips.  On the evening of the 4th we plan on going out on the boat to watch the fireworks.  Hopefully the weather will be nice.

Spend the day and night at home. I'm here alone with a senior golden retriever who is terrified of the fireworks. Neighbors are already shooting them off with loud bangs and lights. My poor baby disappeared while I was asleep last night so I went looking around the house for her and found her curled up in the crawl space beneath my staircase! She's never done that before ever. Poor thing. So today I cleared away more room for her in the crawl space and placed a soft blanket on the floor down there for her. I know she will go there tonight and for the next few nights until the fireworks have stopped.
