Phil the groundhog will make his *ahem* "prediction" this Sunday, but regardless on whether he sees his shadow or not, according to the calendar, spring is only 49 more days away!

That will be the Spring equinox, meaning equal number hours of daylight and darkness.

The Sky looks different when you have someone you love up there.

Which is just too darn close to July/Aug/Sept. and triple degree temp. here in Texas.

Mr Cherry and I were just discussing this over lunch. I told him in about 8 more times the cold part of the year will be behind us. It is nippy today, and we are dressed warm fo the Food Pantry work. Last week there were only 3 of us. Mr cherry found the lady in charge ,collapsed in a chair, struggling for breath. She has some sort of lung condition

He told her never to try to do that again. He will bring the food up to the distribution room, if the regulars don't show. Some people leave this time of the year for warmer parts of the country, and won't be back until April

@Anonymous032819 Yeah!! While winter here hasn't been too terrible, I am so ready for spring, mud and all. I can't wait to be able to open windows. My cats want that too.

Just once I want to see that groundhog wheel around and grab the guy who is holding him by the scruff of his neck.

In Reno it is not dark until 5:30 even though people act light they can't wait to turn their auto lights on. Honestly some people have bright lights on before 5pm???

We have had a very mild winter. Some days I go walking without a jacket. Very strange for Reno but nice.

Yeah, I am excited. I love spring and summer. It is getting darker here later in the day already. It's no longer dark at 5pm.

I am worried though. We have had a really warm winter and only an inch or two of snow. I have a strange feeling that it will be terribly cold with plenty of snow well into the month of March.
