Predicted for tonight, near Saranic Lake. Does anyone know where that is? The weather is horrid for so many Americans Smiley Sad

Hi Noel. Upstate New York. It's about -10 here, wind chills are expected in the -25, -30 range here in western NY. A bit chilly even for this upstate New Hampshire born gal.

Cool

They can wrap up in Saran wrap to keep warm.

Thank you, rarejan! That's so dangerous, there must be people without the resources to stay warm, this is just awful.

Yes, it's very dangerous. Many communities have "code blue" in effect and have opened churchs, missions and other public facilities to those who are homeless or can't keep their homes warm for whatever reason.

Saranac Lake is a beautiful area not far from Burlington, VT. They're tough up there and will be able to handle it. Still, I'm sure they'll welcome warmer temps when they finally arrive as will I, who is much farther south!

I just hope someone is watching out for the local animal population too. I can't help but thinking of them too.
