@RedTopYes!  You are right (about the rain being beneficial to some).  My friend has a well.  He also has a very large garden that supplies me with wonderful corn and the best tomatoes you've ever eaten.

 

I remember there were times last summer when he was very worried about having enough well water to water the garden.  He was worried he might have to go deeper, but thank goodness, he didn't.

 

Just goes to prove 'there are two sides to everything'.  Right?
