What good things are you looking forward to in 2014?

Hopefully a mini-vacation for a few days someplace warm this winter. I despise the cold and snow. I am already looking forward to Summer. If I had my way I would move in January and come back in May. One can dream, right.

We haven't taken a nice vacation for quite a while. We've been talking about a fall trip to London, a long trip. Restaurants, theatre, shopping. I'm determined to make it happen in 2014.

I can relate. Retirement is about 12 years away for us but we already know that we will spend most of the winter (Dec through March) in a warm weather locale. Winters are hard on me and it gets worse every year.

My 57 year old DD who has never been married is engaged. Their wedding is scheduled for April 12th. So at age 80, I'll finely be mother of the bride! Wish hubby were still here, but her brother will walk her down the aisle.

I am so happy for you and your daughter, how lovely that her brother will be walking her down the aisle. I hope you will enjoy the day, it will go fast.

we are about 10 years from retirement, never thought I would wish to be older. I guess I don't but just like warm weather year round.

I want everyone to know that heartburn can cause cancer.

Primarily, I want to help my family...but I will spend whatever time I can to let other families know about this beast.

It may not sound like such a good thing, but if someone's life is spared because of what they learned from me, my family or ECAN, I will consider it a very good thing.
