Maryann_R, she still wont get even those priviledges until she has earned them in what could be her first 2 years. She gets nuthin but a couple showers and a couple hours outside...alone, to begin with.

I have faith that judge Sherry will give her LWOP...

My comment is the same old/same old. Let's do away with the death penalty.

Agree.

Why are people ignoring the fact that this juror put down on the form that:

1. Her ex-husband was sent to jail for robbery

2. Her ex-husband was abusive.

Trying to claim that she wanted "revenge" against the DA is ludicrous.

If these two items didn't signal a red flag, I don't know what would have.

The blood-lust about JA is astounding.

I don't understand why people think she deserves to be treated better and more humane then the way she treated Travis, I just don't understand it.

I think it's because we are a civilized society...a country with laws...one of the bedrocks of the USA constitution is a law that doesn't allow for cruel and unusual punishment.

I don't understand the way prisoners are treated in Saudi Arabia - robbers get their hands cut off, liars get their tongues removed, etc.

Blood lust and revenge aren't civilized reactions to the horrible things she did.

I was - that was one twisted case in terms of what really happened to that lovely child.

I think we can all agree that the murder of Travis was horrendous. Never claimed it wasn't.

Our system is what it is. I also agree with terrier that at least one juror went in already deciding upon the dp without a second thought.

The DP is revenge, not justice. I've said it before - I don't care who supports the DP - it won't change my feelings about that person. I respect those who can maturely defend their support of the DP.

However, and this is a BIG however, when one hopes JA is killed "jailhouse" style or at the very least assaulted by other inmates - one loses their credibility. jmoymmv

It is a shame she didn't share some of this compassion for him as he was standing in the mirror with blood dripping from his body watching her stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, then slit his throat, and shot in him in the head.

....and he could see her stabbing him while he looked in the mirror. I'll never forget that haunting picture she took of him in the shower. The fear on his face....

She even took pictures as she was murdering him she enjoyed it that much...

But yet all of these people feel sorry for Jodi for the state seeking the DP for what she did. Where is their compassion for what she did to Travis? The look on his face in the first shower picture said it all. He knew what she was going to do to him, I believe. The look was not one of him posing, but one of fear for his life.

IMO, juror #17 made a HUGE mistake. The other 11 jurors got it RIGHT. JA deserves the death penalty for the horrific act she committed.
