Since we file online I rarely print anything

My husband does them and files online, but he prints a copy for our records.

@Icegoddess I keep all of the copies on my computer

@I am still oxox We do too, but what if something happens to your computer?  Do you at least back it up on a regular basis? I don't trust automatic backups since I feel like that is how one might get ransomware.

@Icegoddess I have never had an issue filing this way my computer is backed up to the Cloud I a, on a Mac and they rarely have issues/

@I am still oxox We both have Mac's too.  I don't trust the Cloud.  It's just another name for a server and can be hacked. But, you do you.

@Icegoddess I have never had and issue and if I do HR block has copies

I heard that the IRS will not issue paper tax refund checks.

There might be exceptions.....

Ive done direct deposit for well over 2 decades. No check sent to me. Usually in my bank account within 5 business days.

Fun Fact that my late brother figured out: paper checks usually arrive from the post office the 6th Monday after you file. I dont know if that is still accurate but 30 years ago it was. Right on the nose lol

I do the same but save a copy to a flash/thumb drive storage in case something physically  happens to my computer and cannot access my saved pdf copies  along with other copies of important documents.

Yay for us in the states with high property taxes!  The SALT limit has been raised from $10000 to $40000 for for the next few years for most filers.

I was surprised to receive notice on Jan 5th  that my Social Security and Pension plan had 1099s ready to print online. I printed them and a lot of info from online the same day. Ialready have most of what I need to file.

I received my paper 1099 from Social Security in yesterdays mail.  2 more and then I can file.  My least favorite chore of the year but once its done I always reward myself with a treat.
