I just got my first 1099 form for the 2025 tax season. Can't believe it's that time of year again. Seems like I just had them done.

Since we file online I rarely print anything

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

I hope our 1099 tax forms will being sent ASAP.  We are always held up waiting for a few that are always late.

With the new tax rules giving a bonus deduction for seniors, this should be a good year.  I think we will get a  refund.

For anyone who is financing a car, be sure to wait for your interest paid info before you file.  You can deduct up to $10,000 in car interest for 2025.

I  don't know how true.......

I heard that the IRS will not issue paper tax refund checks.

There might be exceptions.....

p.s.  If one doesn't receive a 1099 in time for a tax preparer / accountant appointment, one can call or visit the local bank and they will tell you via a phone call the amount of interest earned in the past year.   Or, they will print out the 1099 for you and you can pick it up at your local branch.

We can't do it ourselves.  Stocks, bonds, funds, etc. We always head over to HR Block.Too complicated.

I am hoping my IRA contribution is enough to offset my taxes this year. I hate not having a 401K anymore!

It's terrible when you invest well and then have to sweat giving it all back to the government. Ridiculous world we live in.

If I could manage my own money, I'd be able to live quite well.
