Oooooooo....you’re already picking the color!
I, too, hope they are going down in price to make this technology
more accessible.

What is the farthest an electric sedan can go on a charge?

I test drove the Bolt before I bought my current car in 2018. I was really impressed with it and would like to have purchased it, but it was very, very expensive. I'll wait till either the price comes down or I decide to buy a Nissan Leaf instead.

It would be wonderful not to have to buy gasoline any more. I just got rid of a gas-guzzling SUV that only took premium and got a very efficient compact that takes regular. I figure I'll save half as much on gasoline. But my next car will be electric, if the price comes down.

@sidsmom Where do you think the electricity comes from?
Answer; fossel fuel. There is no magic. The manfacture of batteries is much more damaging to the earth, which is why most are made in China where there are no environmental controlls.

Talk about EMF. Not for me. My daughter has a tesla and she loves it. She had a volt, then progressed.

Our major driver (we have several cars) for last 14 years has been hybrid (2 Prius, 1 Buick). Depending on which hybrid we get between 32 and 55 mpg. When there are numerous charging stations, we won't hesitate to buy totally electric. I read today that MD is the first state to have a service station exclusively for electric vehicles. When we bought our first Prius in 2005 it was such a novelty that occasionally gas station attendants would come out and look at it (imagine filling up for $20 and getting change).

@Free2be "The sooner the better"? Says who? The "climate change" activists who get to their next "gig" in the same planes you and I use? Or in their chartered jets?
Gimme a break, please!!!!!!

Since you specifically tagged me, I’ll do my best to answer.
I’m still learning about this...but I’m not gonna be your
Google Monkey and feed article after article when you, too,
can do the research.
Since I awoke at 6am, in 45min I have found numerous articles to
support the benefits.
The most important thing I gleaned, even from a morning wake-up fog?
The numbers are basically equal....at the beginning.
#s the naysayers use are from ‘birth’ only.
The benefits become very apparent over the lifetime of a vehicle.
I can remember when we drove leaded vehicles.
We made change then to unleaded so we can make change now.
And for other posters....what do I care what a celebrity does?
Change is about what I can do.
Have a good day!🌼💛

Of course, alternatives are wise.
What I do (besides driving the fuel efficient vehicles we own) is consciously drive less, when possible. I really think conservation (reduction) is important, too.
I remember my parents having a car that got 8MPG!!! This, in the 1970's.
