I know im probably late to the show, but just discovered Robert Parker, am reading Appaloosa.....

 

For those who love westerns, and need a fix till next yellowstone season, try these books...they are a series...great storytelling

If you like Yellowstone, you probably liked Longmire.  And if you liked the Longmire TV series, you'll like Craig Johnson's Longmire novels even more!  Furthermore, if you like Johnson's books, try C.J. Box's Joe Pickett's series. .   . my two cents!

i watched and loved longmire. Are the books different plotlines, than the show?

I feel like an idiot. I reported this thread as being in the wrong Forum, and that it should be moved to TV and Movies. I did not bother to read the posts, and was just thinking about the Television Show. 🤦‍♀️

Yes, the books have different story lines, but the characters are same.  I liked that the books have a very subtle humor, not found in the series.  They're not lengthy, but if you read one, you should start with the first, "The Cold Dish".
