HAMILTON the Revolution by Lyn-Manuel Miranda. Being the complete libretto of the Broadway musical. In other words it's the complete musical in book form for which Mr. Miranda won the Pulitzer. My son gave it to me for my birthday a couple of days ago so far, it's fabulous.
Just started John Grisham's THE SUMMONS. I've read only a few pages tonight, but it's interesting. I enjoy his books. My favorite is THE FIRM.

I love Acorn! As others have noted, it's only $4.99 a month. You can watch a huge variety of programs on your computer--or, with a ROKU, on your regular TV.
I just binge-watched "Doc Martin" (the last two seasons). Acorn is fabulous!

I just finished Vinegar Girl by Anne Tyler. Really enjoyed it, and would recommend it. One of those books that I was sorry when it ended.

@mcbet I'm so happy you enjoyed Vinegar Girl! Whenever I'm done with an Anne Tyler book, I wish it would just go on and on.
I'd be hard pressed to think of any of her books that I didn't love ![]()

I'll be starting Me After You by Jojo Moyes in a few days. It's the sequel to Me Before You. Also, just last night I finished another one of her books - One Plus One. She is an excellent writer and her books take place in the U.K.

I finished My Name Is Lucy Barton in 2 sittings; it was that quick; I expected more from this book but not suprised I was disappointed since I didn't like her last 2 books either. It was all over the place; I didn't know if I was in the past, present, or future most of the time.
Onto Heart of Glass (nf) by Wendy Lawless, another Goodreads win. I want to read her first one Chanel Bonfire too.

I recently finished IN A DARK DARK WOOD by Ruth Ware. It is a novel of psychological suspense. It is about a group of friends who come together in a remote location for a 'hen' party prior to the marriage of one of the friends. The backstory is a relationship gone wrong. It is a page turner. You never really get all the details til near the end which keeps you reading. About 250 pages. A pretty good read a la Girl on the Train. If you liked that, you will probably like this. Goodreads rates it 3.61.
Not it reading as much in the summer. Busy in the garden. Looking for a great book to really grab me for those rainy days!
@sunala, thanks for keeping us going! LM

I just finished The Hummingbird by Stephen Kiernan that a friend loaned me. It was a wonderful book. I highly recommend it.
Deborah Birch is a seasoned hospice nurse whose daily work requires courage and compassion. But her skills and experience are tested in new and dramatic ways when her easygoing husband, Michael, returns from his third deployment to Iraq haunted by nightmares, anxiety, and rage. She is determined to help him heal, and to restore the tender, loving marriage they once had. At the same time, Deborah's primary patient is Barclay Reed, a retired history professor and expert in the Pacific Theater of World War II whose career ended in academic scandal. Alone in the world, the embittered professor is dying. As Barclay begrudgingly comes to trust Deborah, he tells her stories from that long-ago war, which help her find a way to help her husband battle his demons
