I muddled through Truly Madly Guilty, too. I was worn out when I finally did finish the book.

It really was a hot mess, but I thought it had to get better somehow because of the author.

Ok scones on me at Indigo Tes Shop to recover from the horrid book Truly Madly Guilty. I have Pekoe Most Poison on hold at the library. I've never been to the south, Florida doesn't count. It shoulds so magical. I love books that transport me to another place and if it makes me want to visit, that's great writing to me.

I finally plowed through TRULY MADLY GUILTY BY LIANE MORIARTY. Yes, you are right that it got better. It was truly terrible the first 1/2 of the book. I was bored and I have enjoyed her other books. A book shouldn't only be good in the last 1/3. There was 200 nothing pages to finally get to the meat of the book. I'm glad I finished but don't know if I'm glad to have started the book if that makes any sense.
@Yahooey I was happy to finish and could not believe I had such a hard time with it, I have enjoyed all the others. It did pick up but still not one I would recommend or even consider reading again. Will not stop us from picking up her next new one I am sure.
Glad you muddled through like me I just hate to leave things undone.
I've decided to remove Truly Madly Guilty from my list of books to read. It doesn't sound like many people liked it, and I have a feeling I wouldn't either.

Me too, I am not going to try to read it after these reviews, although I loved her other books......

@sunala Great decision. I only finished since I had it for three weeks anyway and felt the need to complete what I started. Next time I will just give in and give up and save my time for better.

@CANDLEQUEEN I have The Girl Before sitting right here as my next read, OH MY, Behind Closed Doors is so so so dark, @beckyb1012 I could not fully understand when you expressed you finally felt like you could breathe while reading the last 2 pages, I had an idea of what to expect but not anywhere near what I am actually reading. I cannot turn the pages fast enough, I am only about 100 pages into it and MAN OH MAN!
