I am so glad to hear about a movie. I can see Viola Davis as Ruth. I will have to think about the other rolls.

Thank you @sunala for letting me know and welcoming me here.

@AndiCat - you're so welcome. I'm so glad you found us here, and enjoying yourself. This is the best board in the entire forum!

@CareBears & @AndiCat  guess what? I just did a bit of research and they've cast two of the characters already. Viola Davis is one, and Julia Roberts is the other. This is going to be quite a wonderful film and I can't wait until it's out!

This is her most recent in her Tea Shop mystery series. I like them because they're easy reads and the setting is Charleston, SC.

Just finished that one myself on Sat. and as usual really enjoyed.

Re: What are You Reading? APRIL 2017

I finished Waiting for Wednesday and feel somewhat drained.  Frieda Klein is a very intense person, and yet, I love the character and the series.  The writing is excellent.

I skimmed through Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller (dysfunctional family/wife has disappeared/is she alive or dead/could not get into this).

I'm about 1/3 of the way into Lincoln In The Bardo and it is not what I expected.  Very different.

I do not have an advanced copy.  I'm waiting for the release date later this month.  I am very much looking forward to her latest novel.  I've enjoyed greatly all of her novels and have high expectations for this one as well!

The Tea Shoppe series are the only one I have read. I also like them because of the setting and I love the descriptions in nuances/notes for the teas. I would love to actually sit in the shoppe enjoying the scones and people watch.

@Yahooey I so agree.  That is my favorite of her series and I love Theodosia.  Cannot read the books when I am hungry, so it makes for a tough exercise bike book read.  Start loosing my stamina reading about scones ect..........

I finally plowed through TRULY MADLY GUILTY BY LIANE MORIARTY. Yes, you are right that it got better. It was truly terrible the first 1/2 of the book. I was bored and I have enjoyed her other books. A book shouldn't only be good in the last 1/3. There was 200 nothing pages to finally get to the meat of the book. I'm glad I finished but don't know if I'm glad to have started the book if that makes any sense.

@Yahooey  I was happy to finish and could not believe I had such a hard time with it, I have enjoyed all the others.  It did pick up but still not one I would recommend or even consider reading again.   Will not stop us from picking up her next new one I am sure.

Glad you muddled through like me I just hate to leave things undone.
