The Dalai Lama's Cat was so good I'm reading The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Art of Purring by David Michie to see what happens next.

Whack Job by Kendel Lynn #2 in a cozy mystery series about a woman who is a director for a charitable foundation. She is studying to get her PI license and gets tangled in murder mysteries on the side.
The Day the World Came to Town by Jim DeFede. About the planes and people who were diverted to Gander Newfoundland after the 9/11 attacks.
I want to thank whoever mentioned this book ( I'm leaning toward one of the "L" ladies-either @Lilysmom or @LoriLori and my hunch is it's probably Lilysmom for some reason) Even if it's neither of you, I enjoyed this book very much and would never have picked it up had it not been mentioned here.
Happy Reading Everyone!

@abbalulu, thanks for the shout-out, that was me that recommended "The Day the World Came to Town" and I think it's a book every single person would love. I'm glad it's finding new audiences since he didn't get a dime off the Broadway show "Come From Away."
@Lilysmom, and I'm sure she'll be along and straighten me out, either leaves near there or has spent time there and provided her impressions of it. And I think she read the book too.
Great book. Everyone read it!

@LoriLori I'm on hold for Beartown at the library.

@LoriLori so it was you who recommended it and @Lilysmom lives in the area-perhaps somewhere in Newfoundland. No wonder I associated you both with the book. I haven't seen her post much lately-for some reason I think she may be an avid gardener and is probably busy with that at this time of year.
I just received the CD of Come From Away but wanted to finish the book before I listened to it. (I am a huge musical fan and yes I still use CD's) It's too bad that the author of the book didn't get any credit for his contribution.
I'm picturing you at home with a grin rubbing your hands together over your copy of Beartown. I hope it's good as it sure has been eagerly anticipated. Enjoy.

I just started reading The Fix by David Balducci. It is an Amos Decker book. So far, it's good, but I am only on chapter 14.

@chihuahuamom, you. have a great memory. You are spot on ... I have been outside doing a spring garden cleanup and not reading as much this time of year. I always check in though because I don't want to miss the recommendation for a great book!!!
@chihuahuamom@LoriLori I am so glad you both enjoyed the book. I haven't read it yet but it is on my list. I live in Nova Scotia but spent a great deal of time in Newfoundland work related. I will request this at the library or check in at my bookstore. Thanks for the reply. LM

I read the Newfie book and enjoyed it. It went so in depth where the characters were concerned-don't know what I expected. It's a wonder we haven't heard of this before-at least I hadn't.
@LoriLori I noticed there are a couple replies now on your Beartown thread.

Going to the library today to pick up the new John Sandford book, "GOLDEN PREY", as well as "BALLPLAYER", a new autobiography by long-time Atlanta Braves baseball player Chipper Jones, for my husband.
