One of my new favorite authors is Susanna Kearsley. I usually read on my Kindle, but my local library actually had several of her books so I just finished her Splendor Falls . This book is based on the history of the French town of Chinon. Her books are full of adventure, mystery and romance. I also read her The Firebird. This book spanned from modern day London to St. Petersburg, Russia and also explores historic figures that are introduced into the story.

Blueprints, Barbara Delinskey

I just finished Blueprints by Barbara Delinsky. It is her latest book, but not one of her best. It involves a family business, a home improvement show, family deaths, an orphaned child, a mother-daughter relationship, and two love stories. And yet the book dragged. I can't recommend it.

I am a real Debbie Macomber fan and I have read the entire Cedar Cove series. I had originally read the first 2 books of her Bloosom St. series but then she had not yet completed the third book and I got into the Cedar cove series instead. Anyway, last evening I was looking at my Kindle app. for a book to buy and I bought the third book in the Blossom St series.I am immensely enjoying it.
She always puts a lot of characters into her books so sometimes I feel like I need a scorecard to keep up.

Angels Don't Get Tattoos by Cecelia Zorn this short fiction piece is about teenager who face several medical issues and show her bravery. The author is a former RN who worked with patients with all kinds of problems a teenager should never have to deeal with. Have your klenex ready. I like it for its honesty.

Yesterday I finished Radiant Angel by Nelson DeMille. Wow! I am a big fan of his books, and this one did not disappoint.
This is another book in the John Corey series, and it kept me turning those pages well into the middle of the night. I didn't get much sleep but I think that's what good books are supposed to do.
I recommend it highly!
I started The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant. So far so good, and it comes very highly recommended.
Happy reading everyone!

Last week on the Today Show they had some authors on with their new books and also asked them to recommend a great read for summer. One guy recommended You by Caroline Kepnes. Well I was thrilled to see it on the new shelf at the library so I eagerly started reading it right away. I have to say it is the grossest, nastiest book I have read in years! Really disgusting and I'm no prude, lol. I am three quarters of the way through so I'll finish it but I'm astounded that they would suggest a book like this for a summer readGuess those Today Show producers don't do their homework!
That's interesting because I can be a prude and I have an arc of the sequel plus I bought it when it was 1.99 for kindle. I'll have to see haven't read either one yet.
