@walkingal thanks for mentioning the Rachel Joyce book. I didn't realize there was a companion book to Harold Fry.
I finished Harm Done, another Inspector Wexford. I can't say I was a fan of this book. It had too many characters, too many side plots, and a main plot that was fairly transparent. I hope the next one is better.
Now I'm reading Suspect (Robert Crais).

Next up is THE MAN CALLED OVE. I have high hopes for this one.
Nope, you aren't the only one. I didn't like it much either. At first I thought it read like short stories and really didn't think it came together very well.

@Lynneuk wrote:Just read a really good book which I think you'd all enjoy very much.
It is called This is your life, Harriet Chance by Jonathan Evison.
If you enjoyed A man called Ove, you will like this one too.
Highly recommend it.
@Lynneuk, thanks for the suggestion. I put This is your Life, Harriet Chance! on my reading list. I really like the way it sounds.
Today I finished Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim. I enjoyed it very much, and it was a fairly quick read.
I decided to give One Year After by William Forstchen a second chance. I know I shouldn't read it because it's going to give me nightmares, just like his first book, One Minute After. I'll read it a while and if I see it's too scary, I'm going to pull the bookmark. I don't need to be terrified!
Happy reading, everyone!

@smoky22 I'm reading Suspect, too! So far so good. I don't read as fast as you, but I'm enjoying it lots.

I just finished Devil in the White City (about the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair and a serial killer on the loose at the same time) and Dead Wake (about the last voyage of the Lusitania), both true stories by Erik Larson. I also finished G is for Gumshoe by Sue Grafton. I am listening to The Hurricane Sisters on my NOOK and am reading The Witch of Lime Street: Seance, Seduction and Houdini in the Spirit World.on my NOOK, both from the local library.
I also just finished the book Front Runner by Felix Francis, a ****** Francis horse racing mystery.

I think it is so stupid that the boards automatically "star" the shortened name for Richard like it is pornographic.

They have sick minds. Especially since you can say so many other words that you think they'd yank, and don't.
