I just fiished reading Lies by T. M. Logan. It is his first novel and boy was it exciting with an ending you never expected. Can't wait for his next book. I just discovered him by accident looking through the library shelves for a book I haven't read. I love to find authors I didn't know about.
I am now read Buring Ridges by Margaret Mizushima. It is about a Deputy Sheriff in Colorado and her search dog. The author and her husband have a veteranian clinic in Colorado. I recommend her books.
Next on my list is Transcription by Karen White.

@katiescarlett Love the Maisie Dobbs series, too! You might enjoy the series by M. Ruth Myers about a female P.I. (Maggie Sullivan) during WWII. This series takes place in Dayton, Ohio.
