Did anyone see the 60 Minutes profile of the author of the new book called "The Wager?" It's about a shipwreck and the author's narrative historical writing is supposed to be quite enthralling.

@MarnieRez3 , just read the storyline on Goodreads.  Sounds like a harrowing experience.  Interested in others thoughts on this if read.  Not sure if this is my thing either.  The storyline kind of made me think of Lord of the Flies.  Maybe one of those can't look away kind of books.

How did 60 Minutes portray it?  LM

Sort of reminds me of that team that crashed in the Andes.  They had forgiveness from the church.

I liked his Killers of the Flower Moon so I think will get this one.

@Lilysmom1
It was a profile on the author and the exhaustive research he did on his new book. @ Still Raining mentioned Killers of the Flower Moon, one of his earlier books. That is being turned into a movie directed by Scorcese.
I think I will check out a sample chapter of both books on my Kindle.
