Is this the book written by his former wife? He certainly was a great talent -- I have a niece who put the fanatic in "fan" when it comes to Prince.

Wify #1
Ex-Wify #2 is currently happily married to Eric Benet (Halle Barry's ex #2).
I'm a Prince fan but I am not going to "purchase" this book.

Creative genius...I rarely read books like this, but I might be interested in this one for summer reading. Thanks.

I have read excerpts either from the book or from Mayte's publicity tour for the book and I am disgusted. She lets out details Prince would never, ever, ever have wanted made public.
Those pertaining to their son are especially galling. Prince went on Oprah and when she asked about the boy Prince did not even say he was dead. He was that private about it. I knew the child died but thanks to Mayte I know way too much about the horrible disfigurement, the suffering of the child and of Prince, and his inability to cope which included ultimately having the staff get rid of the urn with the child's ashes.
She also gives details of their sex life and about Prince's problems and issues about which, again, he was very, very private.. Details like Prince, who was so stylish and elegant, was found dead with his clothes on backward.
I know she went on some reality show and talked about some of it when he was alive, which I assume made him very unhappy, but what I read and heard from her new book was a bridge too far.
I guess she did it to make money? But it's a cynical, sickening way to do it, especially letting out the details, even physical description, of that poor deformed child, and Prince's devastation over him.

I am a huge Prince Fan, but do not think I will read this either.......Some things are meant to be kept private!
