I currently have the Overdrive app on my Samsung Nook Tablet.  When I download a book I download it in the epub format.

I just received an Amazon Fire 8 tablet and I installed the Overdrive app on that also.  But, when you download a book do I use the Kindle format?  I went into Amazon's web page to see what formats it takes for books but I didn't see anything.

I've always had android products so I'm not too sure about my Amazon tablet.  And, if I download a book in the Kindle format on my Amazon tablet will I still be able to read it on my Nook tablet?

I can do the basics with electronics but I wasn't sure about this.  Thanks.

Is this for library books?   When I get a library book I use the kindle choice and it takes me to amazon and then the book  can go to the kindle app or device selected.

If I get an audio library book most of the time I use the Libby app on my samsung tablet.   I don't use the overdrive app that much anymore.
