A Japanese style pub called "Nobu" exists in a back alley of the fictional medieval European city of Eiteriach. Its customers? A pair of slacker soldiers, a spoiled heiress, an uptight tax collector, and more... When the citizens of this strange world sit down to enjoy some unfamiliar Japanese cuisine, their troubles simply melt away...

The curtain rises on this otherworldly eatery and the gourmet fantasy about to unfold within!

* * I think this is Anime, which I know nothing about! However I am all about anything Japanese, especially food, so I will look forward to reading it!  Smiley Happy

The Nook Free Friday selection for November 19th is...

Black River (A Jess Bridges Mystery, Book 1) by Joss Stirling

A thrilling new whodunnit series, fast-paced and funny, featuring a detective as sharp as his suits and a heroine who’s trouble.

The River Thames always gives up its dead…

There’s a killer picking off victims from the wild swimming spots on the upper reaches of the Thames. The case takes Detective Inspector Leo George into the path of Jess Bridges, a private investigator who lives life close to the edge.

Their enquiries lead them to author, Jago Jackson, whose book on secret wild swimming spots has turned him into a social media celebrity. Is Jago’s book the blueprint that the murderer is following? If so, does that make Jago a target or the killer himself? Either way, the duo find themselves swimming in some very dangerous waters …

@Stargazer77 - I hope you're doing well too! Thanks for posting today's selection! I just remembered it! I missed the first Friday because I was away. I had spotty reception. Then I got home and got caught up in the not being able to sign in mess too!  Smiley Happy

When sparks fly, will they relight an old flame or leave her life in ashes?

A failed marriage. No job. A looming court date to face her abusive ex-husband. Worst of all, she's had to move back in with her parents. But just when Madison Talbot thinks things can't get any worse, she bumps into her high school sweetheart—literally. Romance is the last thing Madison needs, especially with the man who once left her high and dry—so she keeps telling herself.

Dylan Stewart returned to Cedar Lake to be with his family after an unimaginable tragedy and is set on staying for good. When Madison moves back to town, he's got one more reason to make his work-from-home arrangement stick. As the guy who broke her heart first, can he help her see him in a new light?

After reconnecting over festival planning at the Starlight Inn, old feelings between them spark to a flame. But between family meddling and the wounds from Madison's traumatic past, the ties between them soon begin to unravel.

Can these two learn to face the world together, or are they doomed to repeat their past mistakes?
