This is called The Turn of the Key. It own't be out till later this summer, but advanced reviews in Good Reads have shown it to be one of her better books.
It's about a young woman who answers an ad to a "dream job" as a nanny (what she thinks is anyway) Instead she's stuck in a house with strange occurrences, a pair of children that are in turns sweet and then demonic. And a scary series of events.
If you are familiar with Henry James famous "The Turn of the Screw".....well there you are.
Ruth Ware has become hugely popular thanks to her recent The Death of Mrs. Westaway.

I loved all her books but Mrs. Westaway was my fave. Looking forward to this one. It's kind of surprising that the title and plot would be so similar to Turn of The Screw.
First one I read was The Woman in Cabin 10. I read it while on a cruise of all things lol.
When I finished it I immediately got In A Dark Dark Wood on Kindle. Two books in one week is a record for me.
I liked The Lying Game the least.

I don't know if the plot is similar, but the reviews bring up the Henry James story. I haven't read the Woman in Cabin 10, but I'll try to get it out of the library. I disliked the Lying Game. The plot had potential, but it fizzled out. It kind of like Ruth Ware holds back. She restrains herself. Don't know why. There are rumors of a prequel of Death of Mrs Westaway (as a noevel). She's written a short story with Mrs Westaway in it. It's a teaser for a book club of Ruth Ware. If you join, you get the story.

I have just received The Lying Game, sorry to read the bad reviews here....I have read her other books and they are pretty good, with the exception of In A Dark Dark Wood, that one I didn't care for......

Didn't mean to give Lying Game a bad review. I just didn't care for it as much as her other books.

The actual plot is very, very good. The complaint against Ware is that she didn't take a risk with the book. It would have been so much better if she had. I liked the characters though. It was both scary.....and sad.

Can't wait for Ruth Ware's new release. I have enjoyed all of her books, some more than others. I have to admit that The Lying Game was not my favorite. Loved The Death of Mrs. Westaway.

I rather liked the Lying Game better than Mrs Westaway.
