I just finished " Wreck", which is a follow up to " Sandwich," by Cathrine Newman. I love Rocky and her family and how they navigate life , when things or people don't go as planned. It is profound, funny and sincere and a joy to read. You don't need to read "Sandwich, " but I think you would be missing out if you don't.

I've been reading the FBI K9 series by Sara Driscoll.  This one was especially good.

Canine SAR. Characters include a German Shepherd, Golden, Greyhound, Pit mix etc, as well as their human handlers. Apartment collapse in DC & emotional/physical toll on rescue personnel/canines.

Re: NOVEMBER 2025 READ ANY GOOD BOOKS LATELY?

I just finish My Friends by Fredrik Backman and I was completely enthralled by it. It started out slow, but he added so many twists and turns, that you really weren't certain how it was going to end. I've read both A Man Called Ove and Anxious People, but this is my favorite book of his and I will definately reread it at some point in time.

Also am reading Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club series.  I am on book 5 and the books just keep getting better and better.  I watched the Netflix movie of the first book and enjoyed it.  I can picture the actors as the characters in the books as I read them.

I finished The Hallmarked Man by Robert Galbraith.  I have enjoyed most of this series but this one is a huge disappointment.  There are way too many characters to keep track of and the main mystery was not even interesting.  I would say you could completely skip this one because the next one will probably rehash everything that happened here.

Now I'm reading The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman, the 8th in the Thursday Murder Club series.  I'm pretty sure I will love this as much as the others in the series.

I apologize for posting on a closed thread (July 2025), but I just had to rave about Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall!  Others who read/have read this book, please share your thoughts.

I am currently in a Danielle Steele mood!  I just finished In His Father's Footsteps.. Very good.  I am now reading Power Play.  Also, very interesting.  I had gotten away from her novels for the most party, but have developed a taste for them again.  And as the books say -- Everybody reads Danielle Steele!!!

I read both of these and In His Father's Footsteps,  I cried at the end.  As for Power Play I read it a while ago and my review didn't show up on Goodreads for some reason.

Finished Rush Week by Michelle Brandon (aka Eliza Knight).  It was sort of collegy since it was about a sorority at the University of Alabama.  Then five years later, they reunite and try to get the "spill" book back.  It was their confessions.  It was supposed to be buried for 100 years in a time capsule but the capsule was opened for another reason so they went back to try to get it back.
