I read the book many years ago, and it was quite graphic. I also saw the movie when it was released.  I have no desire to re-read the book or watch the movie.

 

It was so real to me. I could see some nutcase fan actually doing this and it sort of freaked me out.

I read the book first and unlike most movies made from a novel Misery was one of the few that did not disappoint me.  But yes the book is still much better.

@spumoni99 have you read or watched the below by Stephen King?  Wonderful book and movie. I read the book when it was released in just a couple of hours it was so good.

I read alot of his books when I was in High School in the 1980's.  I didn't read this one though.  I will pick it up from the library and give it a read.  I remember liking his writing.

I really enjoyed the movie. I never even thought about reading the book.  I will need to check it out, because books are always better than the movies.
