After I got the title, I tried to find in the library.  It's too new.  They purchased but not out for circulation yet.  I could have put a hold on it (me and hundreds others) but you can't put a renewal on it.

I'll wait it out for while.  Or I'll buy it my Amazon Fire

@songbird
It will be an investment of your time. The book is very dry and factual and there are thousands of quoted conversations. I did come away with more respect for her. Very smart and much more musically talented than we may think. Also she's really really really hardworking. That I think we all knew.

@Squirrels Are Trash , I think Madonna is very driven.  I enjoyed her music even if I didn't support her ideology.  I admire her tenacity in a male dominated industry.  It must be a challenge to be always going against the flow.  I probably won't read the book.

Why is she given credit for being in a male dominated industry? What about Cher, Dolly Parton, and Mariah Carey not to mention other long time female artists?

Because it's Madonna's biography and the thread is about Madonna. Why would the author mention the others?

Did you read MC's autobiography? She rightfully takes plenty of credit for her songwriting. I'm sure the others do also, so I don't get your point at all.

I brought it up since there were comments about her being in a male dominated industry. I thought I was allowed to express my opinion on these forums especially since it was neither snarky or rude. Just an honest comment.
