Re: MAY 2026 READ ANY GOOD BOOKS LATELY?

I'm always a little behind, choosing books without paying much attention if they're "new" or not. Finally a friend gave me "The Women" by Kristin Hannah, and I'm about 3/4 done with it. As someone who "grew up" during the Vietnam era, lost and am still losing so many friends who went, it's a very difficult read, but I'm glad I finally am reading it. I sat and watched the 6 o'clock news every day, thinking I'd catch sight of one of my friends over there. This book delves into the war more than anything I've ever read about it so far.  I'll surely need to choose something much lighter for my next read.

Just finished "It's Not Her" by Mary Kubica.  New author for me. I recommend this book; many twists and turns.

I read “It’s Not Her” also and loved it! Keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through the book. Just when you think you have it figured out… you don’t! I have read a couple books by this author; she writes great books. I highly recommend this book.

I just finished reading A Death in Felicity A Mosbacher Mystery by Stephen W. Long. It was given to me as an ARC.

It was a decent read. I definitely was interested enough to keep turning the pages, but the ending was very abrupt and disappointing. It felt rushed. I would rate it 3/5 stars.

Just read I Choose Me by Jennie Garth.

Never watched 90210 and neither did any of our kids.

Knew who she was though, when she started selling her line on Q.

Just for the heck of it, I pre-ordered her book.  Very good read.

She didn't lead the perfect life, but has been trying to turn it around and as we all know, life is a never ending learning experience.

Oh mercy I envy you if this is your first read by her.  All her books are excellent, enjoy.

I Know How This Ends, by Holly Smale.  Margot as been with her boyfriend for 10 years and now it is finally the night before her wedding.  As she overhears him out on the patio at the rehearsal dinner the night before she realizes the wedding is never going to take place.  Margot is meteorologist, not a weather girl but a true scientist but looses her job and tries to create something profitable regarding weather on instagram.

As far as her lacking love life she decides 20 dates is a good solid number to try online dating sites and then never have to date again.  So many losers or just plain weirdos out there, until someone close by who as been watching all these 17 dates take place and throws his number 18 hat in the pile.
