I remember reading this book back then. The victim was somehow connected to my mom's hometown. I can't remember exactly. It was a very good book.

@SWEET definitely out of my comfort zone. Definitely makes you think. The issue I had was the book made me angry when reading it. I gave it 3 stars. Will be disco with the book club in a couple weeks. Howebery, I did add The Poppy Fields written by her to my Mundo today. It's part of Kindle Unlimited.... So I can return it easily if I don't like it. The premise is interesting.

Hi. ![]()
Thank you, @icezeus , for this month's thread.
Thank you to all who posted. I enjoy looking up many of the authors you mention. ![]()
I read or listened to the following:
When Life Happened, Jewel E Ann, a women's journey of figuring out who she is and what she wants. There was a twist I didn't expect.
The Diner, Joanne DeMaio, it's book #26 of the Seaside Saga Book Series. As always, I loved it!! It's like coming home to friends you know.
After All, Kristen Proby, "widower falling deeply in love again with a woman who has scars of her own."
For Lucy, Jewel E Ann, heartbreaking and inspiring message of love and putting someone else first.
Slow Burn, Ali Rosen, it took forever to get moving and get to a really good story.
Left of Forever, Tarah DeWitt, second chance romance.
I am a rabid hockey fan. I read a bunch of hockey romance books. I didn't keep track of what I read, since the books were borrow from a friend. If I continue to read these series or others, I'll post about them if anyone is interested in hockey romance.
Next on my list to start is Bright Lights, Dark Thunder. It's written by Connor Crais. I enjoy his voice on audible books, so I'll probably listen to his own book narrated by him.

It really was good. More than just one.

Finished Nobody's Fool by Harlen Coben. It got me from the first few pages and the twists dropped every so often too. A light read which I would recommend.

Finished a debut The Gallagher Place by Julie Doar. It was just an ok read for me.

Finished the sequel to Doll House, called Olivia, it was good, but not as good as the 1st book. Still captured my attention, did not care for the ending though......
Not sure what I will read next!!! Will post once I figure it out!

I started The House of Cross, by James Patterson!
I suspect it will be good like most of his books and probably a fast read....

The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. I just enjoyed it much. If you like Strout's Olive, I think you'll like Sybil Van Antwerp. I thought the format - letters and emails - might be gimmicky. But it was done very well.
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. On order and will get soon. Finally getting around to reading it.

Just finished Sadeqa Johnson's The House of Eve. Very interesting book based on the author's grandmother. I also enjoyed Yellow Wife by her.
