All of the books that I have read by this British author are excellent & addictive! Try Transcription, Behind the Scenes at the Museum, & her series of books involving Jackson Brodie (a private detective). FABULOUS!

@TUMBLES  I agree!.  Love Kate Atkinson, love Jackson Brodie.  My favorite book is Life After Life, followed by Transcription, but she's so versatile and writes across numerous genres.  Somehow, I've never read Behind the Scenes at the Museum.

@TUMBLES Thank you so much for the recommendation!  Especially since my first real job was at a museum!  I remember there was a fabulous jewel exhibit that came there and the director gathered the staff to give instructions on what to do if robbers arrived.

After our instructions were given and she left we all looked at one another and said "RUN!"  Woman LOL
