I love the other 4 of his, This one is Every Living Thing.  I think some time ago, I almost started this and got into some other thing, so soon I'll try it again.

 

James Herriot is or was a great writer.

Many years ago I enjoyed watching the PBS series about

James and his vet practice.  I now enjoy listening to the

audiobook version of a sweet children's book he authored.

I loved his books. I still have several including James Herriot's Yorkshire. My parents were on a trip to England. They were taking a taxi to the airport when mother saw he was at Harrods signing books. That year everyone got the books as a Christmas gift.

I love these books as well.  I haven't read them for years; I need to read them all again.  If you enjoy these, you might also enjoy the Irish Country Doctor books by Patrick Taylor, as they are similar.  I'd recommend reading them in order, starting with "AN IRISH COUNTRY DOCTOR."

I watched this series, too.  It was called, I think,  "All Creatures Great and Small".  I often wished they would bring it back.
