I just finished Isaac's autobiography.  Was very surprised to read that his first love was acting and performing...not fashion design.  Very interesting read.

I bet it was interesting. Didn't realize he wrote an autobiography; is it recent?

Yes, I've heard him say in many interviews, especially in recent years when he's been promoting his Carlyle cabaret shows, that performing had been his first love, and that actually he kind of happened into fashion. Also, that he'd like to be more remembered for performing. Good for him he's had a chance at expressing that part of himself late in life.

@bargainsgirl   He does cabaret like shows on a fairly regular basis.  He quit fashion many years ago.  He basically licenses his name.  I think he offers some input in the styles.  He does have a great sense of style.  He doesn't like the biz.  I guess you know better than me now because you read the bio!

After reading it my thought was, this man is a genius.  I found it to be very interesting.  I recommend it.
