...and finally ordered the "Clan of The Cave Bear" ("Earth's Children") set yesterday. My paperback copies--what's left of them--are pretty ragged and beat up so I decided to gift myself with a new set.

I remember reading the Clan Of The Cave Bear when it first came out.

Dusty--did you like the books?

 

The first book is rather slow-going but a friend of mine encouraged me to plow through it and I'm glad I did. I read a remark on an mb, complaining about all the sex--and there is a lot of it. But as the author Jean Auel said, they were young and healthy and in love. And you can pass over the sex scenes if they bother you.

@GoneButNotForgotten I remember reading it & liking it a lot but that was in 1980!

I remember it being sad when she was all alone.
