This is going to be a major motion picture, but I picked this book to read only from the title.  Knew nothing from the book.  This a dystopian novel, but set in the present day. Augastine is a brilliant, aging Astronomer.  He's hidden away with telescope in the Arctic.  Something has happen and he's lost contact with everybody. Also losing contact, is a group of astronauts returning from Jupiter.   But an accident forces them attempt to get back to earth.. Both plots slowly merge together.

I really like this book.  I don't usually go for the kind of genre, but I loved the story.
