Not to be a braggart or anything, and since I was on a slow streak on Goodreads for a while, I won 3 in March on 3/16, 19, and 26.

Anyone else who is on Goodreads having a winning or losing streak?  Most have been authors I've never read before but some are and most have been worthwhile.

I don't often think of Goodreads, but I did download an author that was recommended, Kathryn Meyer Griffith, and started reading the Spookie Town Mysteries.  Don't let the name fool you.  The town of Spookie was named that from the founders of the town who felt that the fog always rolling in gave the area look and feel spooky.  Book 1 was good, Book 2 was better, and I am now on Book 3.  So far, though a little expensive, the series is good.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I just won a kindle book from Goodreads this morning. I also won a book from a different source a couple of weeks ago. I probably win maybe six books a year on Goodreads. It's a good way to try something that I otherwise may not read. I know you win tons of books as I've seen you mention it on the What Are You Reading thread. You are very lucky! Do you like most of what you win?

Congrats to you too.  I win a lot of books from other sources too and different websites too many to mention.  LibraryThing is one of my favorites.  They only have monthly giveaways but also have another giveaway constantly called "member giveaways" either by people who want to sell their books or authors who want to promote themselves.  I don't win as often but I do try.

Most of what I win are good and very rarely do I  not like them.  It's the freebies that I get from the publishers that I don't ask for that sometimes aren't my taste like The Guest List by Sarah Blake which I couldn't finish and not suprised since I didn't like The Postmistress either.

Mostly finding a lot of new authors too and some I've read before like today's wins from LT and Goodreads -- Lisa Grunwald's upcoming book and Naomi Ragen's also whose books I enjoy a lot.

Love Goodreads!

I've gotten some advance copies of books to review on their website.  The last one was The Last Collection, coming out end of June.  It's the historical fiction version of the relationship of Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli.

I love Goodreads.com, I would not read a book from a new author until I got on Goodreads to see what their track record is. It is a great great resource.

I have never tried for free books because I download them from the library all the time and they are already free.

They have giveaways for Kindles too.  Not sure if you knew that.

That's not a resource I use, but I should try it. Is it hard to figure out?
