@icezeus wrote:This year I was a total slacker. When COVID first hit earlier in the year, I just did not feel like reading, then when I got into the mood again. I started reading books that I had already read, and felt comfortable with. I did not count those again in my count on the GoodRead tracker, since they had been counted as read books in the previous years.
Therefore, this year, I have read 37 books.
I also had trouble reading during the shutdown. I just felt too unsettled and distracted. Once summer came, I felt better. My total was 74 for the year.

What a good idea.
I don’t use Good Reads, but am going to count in 2021.
When I was 8 my wonderful Grandmother suggest that I start a notebook listing books as I read them. Wish I had.

I just reached 81 for the year. I had set a goal of 65. Goodreads is such a good and easy way for me to track what books I've enjoyed over the years. It's fun to look back at prior years to remember a random author I may have forgotten but now get to try again if new books have been released.

I find it the easiest way to keep track of my books. I feel that it's a waste of paper to track my books since I read so many.

Well, back when I was 8, we didn’t have Goodreads. 😉

With so many shut downs from the Michigan governor, I did more reading than usual so my goal of 110 books turned into 198.

@sandy53 unsettled and distracted. That's how I felt for about 3 months of this year & then I good some of my groove back. I didn't read as much this year either.

@Drythe i found a wonderful website to track my reading. It's call thestorygraph. I prefer it to Goodreads.

I have a Word document where I keep track of the books I've read. For the last year or so I add the month/year that I read the book. And I keep a list of books I want to read in the same document.
