On Goodreads, there is a category for most authors read and of course mine was Danielle Steel at a whopping 95 books plus I have 12 on by TBR list.  I actually deleted 9 since some didn't look interesting to me.  So that's 107 I still have to read and that's not counting the ones she'll have out in the future.  She already has 3 coming out in January, May, and July of 2018 so far!

@SWEET

Why "of course" would it be Danielle Steel?   What is it about her books that keeps you reading more?

I've never read any of her books, but may give one a try at some point.   I've also seen the "too formulaic" criticisms.  Then I saw her interviewed on some talk show, and she said she usually is writing SIX books at a time, !!!!!! , so I figured she defintely has a "formulaic process".    How else can anyone write SIX books at one time?

I guess I say "of couse" since I've read many of her books in the past but none recently.  I don't know how she does it unless she has a ghost writer and I know she types them on a regular typewriter.

@SWEET- I am very happy for you Woman LOL

Re: DANIELLE STEEL BOOKS - MY STATS

I read Danielle Steel books years ago, and I liked The Promise, so rather recently, I picked up two books of hers because they were hardcover and on sale -- Property of a Noblewoman, and Precious Gifts. I read them over the summer, just for fun.  Those two newer books were so similar in writing and content, involving art and museums, and finding love again with a wealthy old man, that it was truly incredible and not in a good way.  It is nice to hear that some think she is finding her old writing mojo once again.  Hope that is the case for her, as those two books I recently read are very predictable, formulaic, and also way too similar in storyline content.  I don't think I'll be purchasing any more books of hers again as a result.

As probably the only one on the planet who has not read Danielle Steele...are her books series? or stand alones? Romances?

Thanks...might give her a try. Nothing and I mean nothing like a good book...unless it is a pet.

I'm sure you're not the only one who hasn't read her but she does have a big following.

All of hers are stand alones and mostly romance.

I haven't read her books in I'm guessing 30 years.  I don't know why I stopped but I'll try her again.

Wow, I have not read her books in over 30 years. I remember reading a handful back in the 80's and someone was always dying in the beginning of the books which would just make me sad so I stopped reading them.

I don't recall which ones had someone dying in the beginning of the book but I'm sure there were some.
