[Puzzle Piece]

I received my book.  I had suspected toread about the abuse and brainwashing done to the young females.  

I was born and raised in So Ca where the Mansion was and the clubs were.  The Playboy standard of a female was expected. 

So many young females cam from all ove to be considered a candidate.  So many lives were ruined and their psyches damaged by that man and his 'standards'.  I remember even the rock stars had to have centerfold looking girlfriends.  The celebrities went to the mansion to use the girls and they had to comply. Young men required their girlfriends to look like a centerfold.  It was all DECEIT. 

Crystal wear and git herself de-programmed and she now wants to let the others know how they were lied to and how much abuse the females bore.  

The young ladies who submitted their photos in the raw could never get them back or get a job as a teacher and other vocations.  The whole demented fantasy was crushed as female do age, hormones do their work, and trends change too.  The man Hugh Heffner was a farce, a liar, and a misogynist.  .

I'm reading the book (got it from the Library) and it's in alignment with the series that was on with the former girlfriends from like the 80's, etc. talking about what it was like to be one of his "girlfriends" and live at the mansion. The thing I find interesting is that his secretary Mary was with him until she died. 

I think the book was more healing for her than anything.

Several people here are so happy to criticize without knowing any facts.  No surprise there.

Crystal Hefner was Hugh's last wife and encountered a lot of abuse during the marriage.   

I'm not going to spoon feed you the facts.  Let's just say hers was like most marriages .... no matter how long or how well you've known the person ...  when you marry them there will be surprises.

There were a couple pieces on her book on "Inside Edition" last week. She said she didn't really love Hef & sounded like she felt imprisoned there.  Couldn't understand why she didn't just leave?

@AZfem Crystal Hefner was his last wife and she wrote the book.

Christie Hefner was his daughter by his first wife and ran the Playboy operations until 2008.  Yes, she was very smart.

They are two separate people

She sure got my attention there at the end of the book !

I about fell over when she got mixed up with a celebrities son who had his own talk show for yrs.

I lost respect for him when I read about that family.

I remember reading ‘Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny’ by Holly Madison many years ago. That was an eye opener for me as to the inner workings.

The book was published in 2015 and covered the early 2000s of being at Hef's beck and call. Holly overlapped with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt. 

The title of Holly's book did have a catchy title.
