Have you read any of them? 

I"m going to try to read those that I haven't read yet.  My winter project!

Here's the list:

Virgil, The Aeneid (read it in college, in Latin. (downloaded English version.)

Cicero, On the Laws (just downloaded Kindile version)

Dante, The Divine Comedy (read years ago)

St. Augustine, City of God (read many years ago - need to read again)

Tolkien, Lord of the Rings (I have all the books - want the Kindle version)

Willa Cather, Death Comes for the Archbishop (downloaded)

Walter Miller, A Canticle for Leibowitz  (finished a few weeks ago)

Paul Elmer More, Pages from an Oxford Diary (trying to find an affordable copy)

T. S, Eliot, The Four Quartets (downloaded)

I have read a couple: unfortunately, I was underwhelmed.

I read The Aeneid years ago.  If I re-read it now. I'm sure I'd need Cliff Notes to make sense of it.

I read all of "Lord of the Rings." Liked it a lot. 

I tried "A Canticle for Leibowitz" but couldn't get into it. After a few attempts, it was the same result: never finished the book, just didn't find it interesting. 

I dont' know  if it's on the list, but enjoyed Chaucer's  "The Canterbury Tales." Much better than I thought ti would be.
