I am looking for a light that attaches to the book...in case I want to read in bed and my husband is asleep and also because room lighting is bad.

I will read thru the replies to see what is recommended, thanks.

@Desertdi   My head board is a antique with thick wood and pretty tall, I like the concept but I don't think that style will work.

@Mom2Dogs

I bought one and returned it.  It works fine if you're holding a hardcover book, but with a paperback, it isn't as secure.

Whenever possible, I prefer to read paperback books because I have arthritis in my wrists.

Not for everyone I understand, but my Kindle has a dark mode works that great.  I can read in bed and not bother my husband.  You can also make the words/light warmer which is better at night.

On Amazon, I got a piece that fits my neck (1/2 horseshoe shape) to help me see in early dark mornings to crochet.  Two strengths of the lights you click on and off.  It comes with a plug in to recharge.  I use it a lot. Try them, in the sewing sections. Maybe even at Michael's or on Amazon. If I happen to find the name, I'll be back to add it.

LED neck reading light, there's others.  About $20. There's a Glocusent book light too. Same price on Amazon.  Wonder if Barnes and Noble carry those???

I keep a lamp with a 60w or 75w bulb on the bedstand.

@Mom2Dogs   I've tried the ones that attach to the book.  Didn't work well with paperbacks.  I just received a Gritin LED neck light from Amazon.  12.99 and it's U shaped and feels light.  I really like it.  Actually, I just ordered another one for a gift.
