I am in need of a book light.   My bedroom is dark on a sunny day and especially bad in the evening....even with the lights on!

Can someone make a reommedation for me?  Thanks

@Mom2Dogs  Wellin that case, what type of light are you looking for?  What's great for me may not be what you would like.

I like bright light for reading.  Some like soft white.  Some like dim.  Some perfer white light while others perfer yellow.

Read the reviews for the light type you are interested in.  Especially the YouTube reviews because you can see/view the lights in action w/real reviewers.

I killed 3 birds w/1 stone w/this lamp.  I also put it on a timer.

I read lying down in bed, so I have found I need two lights on my nightstand.

One is the regular bedroom nightstand lamp type of fixture.

The other is what was called a desk light.  It has a small, round, heavy base with a stem that swivels.

The actual light is a small ball that also swivels to aim the light wherever you want it.

Often, I've turned off the lamp and am just using the spotlight.  It took me forever to get just the right lamp, but this is perfect for me.

I think it's important to consider your favorite position while reading.  Some read sitting up.  I read lying down, sideways, with the book propped up on a pillow.

This pic just made me think .... a lot of small lamps are now rechargeable, which is a very handy feature.

I bought the type of booklight that is horseshoe shaped with two led lights with adjustible brightness. The brand is Glocusent. It is flexable and includes a charging cord. I think it works well. I use it for reading in bed but my sister-in-law uses hers for needlework as well. You wear it around your neck.

This a book light you attach to your book.  I have this and love it.  It's rechargeable, bends in all directions and has three light settings.  I use it a lot.
