I like the older Scarpetta series and read the Barrington series but tired of it.  Buy one of his older books, Palindrome, was really good and a stand-alone as is Chiefs by him.  
I read some Robards I just don't recall any as being really good.

I just started "Shattered" by Karen Robards last night and I was hooked from the 1st page. I could not put it down.  Eventually I had to because I had to go to sleep! I hope the rest of the book is as good as it started! I may have found a new author!

Love Karen Robards and read all her books, they're quick, easy, relaxing reads.

I am in the middle of this one, too, @LuvmyLab .  I am enjoying it and find it easy to pick up each day and read for awhile.  I picked it up at a Goodwill for one dollar.  I will look for this author again.
