Any good apocalypse related series or single books?

I just finished book #2 of the "green fields" series by Adrienne lecter. I've liked the story so far. I'm in the mood to continue with this type of book. Do you know any?

One Second After is a 2009 science fiction novel by American writer William R. Forstchen. The novel deals with an unexpected electromagnetic pulse attack on the United States as it affects the people living in and around the small American town of Black Mountain, North Carolina.

@Lilith1

I want to second @ThinkingOutLoud 's suggestion. I'll add that there are two more books in the series - "One Year After" and "The Final Day."  The author is a professor of history who has a lot of knowledge about his subject.  Scary stuff because it's a possible scenario.

Thanks I’ll check these books. The green fields series is a 12 book story. A man made virus is released and turns those infected into zombies. It focuses more on the survival attempt of a group of people instead of the zombies

Thank you all.  Long time since I looked at this genre.  Put two on my Libby tag.

I recommend "Swan Song" by Robert McCammon. It involves survivors after a nuclear war destroys America.

The book was written over 30 years ago, but there still should be copies available. It's over 900 pages, but don't let the length stop you; it's one of the best apocalyptic books I've ever read.
