Re: Any KINDLE Junkies here?

I love my paperwhite.  I thought I lost it once and panicked.  Then I got it wet in a swimming pool and panicked.  But it survives and I continue to use and enjoy it.  I don't like reading on my fire tablet because it has glare that the paperwhite does not.

I acquired a Kindle 2nd generation about ten years ago.  Actually it was my Mom's and she gave it to me.  It's the only way I've read for years but lately I read on my iPad with the Kindle app or on my laptop with Kindle Cloud Reader.  I like the bigger screens.

I love reading on my kindle - I purchased a Kindle fire. My old one had a cracked screen and couldnt see a thing on it.

I have a ton of books on my Kindle app on my phone, from my 1 kindle - but the font is too small and I want to transfer them to my new kindle but dont know how - Someone said its not compatable because it was an older kindle model.   I need to make friends with an IT person Smiley Wink Tech is fustrating to me.  I am an artist and use canvas and paintbrush - very renaissance 14- 15th century LOL.

MY love of reading lots of books is on par with my love of my kindle housing them all.

I dont know if this answered your question or not - just sharing my love of my Kindle.  Smiley Very Happy

You shouldn't have to transfer them - they should all be available in your library which you can access from any device.

For reading I have a Kindle Oasis, a Paperwhite Signature (newest and you couldn't get simpler than this), and an IPad Mini, which is great too.

I wouldn't want to read off of a full-sized IPad, but love all three of the above mentioned.

I think I'm gonna get an Ipad Mini.  I wish it were also a phone.
I also need to get a cellphone.

Re: Any KINDLE Junkies here?

I just ordered my 9th kindle.  I have been ordering Kindles since they first came out and o order new ones when I have a problem with an old not working such as not holding a charge.    My 8th Kindle, ordered in June 2022, had problems such as when I wanted to go back a page it would go forward; also I was unable to remove books from my home screen.  I loved my 10th generation kindle but am not pleased with the 11th generation.  I googled these issues and others seemed to have the same problem. I will get a replacement this week, 11th generation, and am hoping I do not have these issues.

Re: Any KINDLE Junkies here?

@FranandZoe, I second that. I have an iPhone, an iPad, a desktop PC at home and one at work. I can access any and all of my Kindle purchases on all my devices. And since I purchase my books through Amazon (Kindle reviews but does not sell ebooks), all of my purchases are available on Amazon.com as well and can be read through the Kindle app there as well.

Re: Any KINDLE Junkies here?

I just switched from my iPad to a Kindle Paperwhite.  I had only recently learned that it was so much easier on the eyes and no glare.  I wish I had known that 5 years ago!

The former and current and still "MrsSweetieBear".

Re: Any KINDLE Junkies here?

Guilty of being a Amazon Fire Kindle reading junkie!

Purchased an Amazon Fire 8 HD years and years ago with a hardback book like cover for under $50. It is a champ. Use it to download free local library ebooks easily and the hardback book cover seems more like a physical book. That was my resistance for years as I like the feel of a book.

About 18 months ago, I thought my old Fire 8 HD was getting ready to die on me. So, purchased new Amazon Fire with a bit slimmer profile for under $40 as a handy backup. Well, once I logged into the newly purchased Fire, all my old Fire 8 HD Kindle content showed up. No worries now should the old one go kaput.

Re: Any KINDLE Junkies here?

I have latest Amazon Fire tablet.  It has kindle in it.  Mine is the 10"plus,  It's pretty nice.  I didn't want to get just the kindle as I wanted a big screen to watch movies and stuff outside of Amazon.  Fortunately there are plenty films to watch.  All of the prime movies are on it.  The new Judge Judy, some TV series.  One old series is Columbo, a show I never watched before.  I't pretty good.  I've purchased some books.  If I run out of room, there is a free cloud to put up there to make more more.  I also have public library app for the kindle to get library books.
