What do You Want to See from CES 2011: January 6 – 9

Every January, the tech-obsessed masses gather in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show, the largest convergence of technology in the world. Companies from all over reveal their newest notebook computers, tablets, cars, video games, speaker systems, and televisions and provide a look at what the next year of electronics will look like.


This year, the convention runs from January 6 – 9 and we expect to hear large announcements from a number of major manufacturers. What type of announcements? Well, Microsoft is rumored to be unveiling more games and information for their popular Kinect accessory, which we know you’re all big fans of. HP will undoubtedly have more computer news, with rumors pointing towards some new tablets, likely using some of the cool tech they acquired when they bought Palm a few months ago.


Some of the larger PC manufactures will likely be unveiling tablets and eReaders as well, growing your options significantly. 3D televisions will likely be shown too, with different companies trying to outdo each other by revealing larger, thinner, and (hopefully) cheaper versions that’ll make it easier for you to justify picking one up and transforming your living room into a movie theatre.


Since I’m Your Tech Guy, I’ll be posting some of the highlights starting this Thursday when the show floor opens. Expect even more next week once the dust settles, with news about some of the coolest tech in the works.
