Traditional Orange Pound Cake

Loaf Pan - Yield: 10
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour


Traditional Orange Pound Cake


Cake
1 ⅓ cups butter, salted
1 ½ cups sugar
6 large eggs
5 Tbsps orange juice
1 ½ tsp orange extract
2 tsp orange zest
2 ⅔ cups flour

Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
3 Tbsps orange juice
½ tsp orange zest


Preheat Oven to 300°

1. All ingredients should be room temperature before you begin.
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy. Add in sugar and beat on high for at least 3 minutes.
3. Slowly beat in eggs. Stir in orange juice, extract and zest.
4. Mix in flour just until combined.
5. Remove the drip tray from your temp-tations loaf pan and set aside. Lightly spray the pan with non-stick spray. Pour in batter and bake for 1 hour or until center is set.
6. For the glaze, stir sugar, orange juice and zest together until smooth. Remove cooled cake from pan and pour over the top.
