Hi my friends,

I wanted to send you a hello from Lake Tahoe. My family and I came out here to celebrate the 4^th of July for an extra special extended getaway. A family friend is letting us stay at their cabin on the lake (how lucky are we) and each day has offered us many wonderful adventures.

We’ve never been to Tahoe and have fallen in love with the gorgeous weather, stunning views, and the peace and tranquility that it has offered us. What a change it has been from our home in South Florida and the 90+ temperatures and high humidity that we are accustomed to.  The temperatures have been in the mid 70’s during the day and the low 60’s at night.  I can’t remember the last time at home when we were able to have our windows and doors open all day long.

Each day you can either find us beachside on the lake, walking the trails of the mountains, or enjoying hot dogs and French fries at the local General Store down the street from us. It took us a while to help Olive understand that this isn’t the ocean by our home and that the snow on the mountain tops is one of the reason why the lake water is so cold.  Let’s just say we have invested in a boat raft as she says the water is freezing. (This South Florida boy agrees)

I’ve always been an avid runner and throughout my life it has been my favorite way to explore during my inspiration trips around the world. While it took me a little bit to get my body accustomed to the high 6500 ft altitude, (our home is 6ft above sea level), my daily jogs here have become one of my favorite parts of this trip. 

I would love to hear if you’ve been to the Tahoe area and share with me if there are any must do’s while we are here.

I’ll be heading back to QVC with lots of brand new JAI designs for my August 2^nd 6pm ET show on QVC Main and then I’ll head right over to QVC2 at 9pm ET for the exciting launch of our Big Deal.  My final show for this visit will be on August 3^rd at 7pm ET on QVC2.
