Spring into Sunday’s Best

Have you seen them? And no, I'm not kidding—I already have crocuses popping up in the front yard!


We have a famous groundhog who lives not far from here that just predicted six more weeks of winter. But I’ve been lied to before by large, furry rodents. And flowers are not supposed to be poking up in the first week of February—well, at least not where I live anyway. I truly believe that spring will be early this year, and if we do things right, we can really get the most out of an extended outdoor season.


Kelly and I are already making plans for the gardens, and we have every intention of getting grass seed out about a month earlier than normal. I can't wait for that chill in the air to be gone and the smell of fresh cut grass to waft through an open window again. Bring it on!


QVC's Sunday Best will soon be offering great items to help clean up the yard and prepare for packing away the winter coats and going outside once again. Plan early...enjoy more. That's my new spring motto.
