Hi everybody! I wanted to catch you all up on some adventures Nikki and I enjoyed over Spring Break.

Our first escape was to upstate New York, just to chill. The lake was breathtaking as spring struggled to appear...this area is known for lakes and vineyards.

We also indulged in lots of good food for the soul, everything from homemade ice cream in a French restaurant to a big ice cream sundae with my mom at a local diner...

Our trip to NYC just so happened to fall on St. Patrick's Day. We took a quick peek at the parade, of course.

And then we were off to enjoy some birthday celebrations for Nikki! Like mother, like daughter—Nikki loves her chocolate, so we had lunch at Max Brenner where chocolate is the rule. We had lots of fun roasting marshmallows with a heavenly chocolate fondue!

Then we were off to window shop on 5^th Avenue. Jeans, off-the-shoulder silhouettes, and prints were everywhere.

After a visit to St. Patrick's Cathedral, we crossed the street to Rockefeller Center...I loved the Lego store windows!

And we enjoyed other beautiful sites, including ice skaters and the iconic Radio City Music Hall.
